When your pet comes to The Lodge, it’s just like going off to Summer Camp—new faces, new places and fun things to do! We think our friendly staff and state-of-the-art facilities make every dog or cat’s stay here a lot of fun, but if you want your “best pal” to have a special treat or a little extra play-time attention, Lone Star Pet Lodge has plenty of ways to liven up your “camper’s” Lodge visit.

For Our Canine Campers:

We’re known for our Wide Open Spaces here in Pet Lodge Country, and there are several ways your pup can experience them:

#1 Extra Innings - 15 minutes of one-on-one time playing catch or fetch, depending on your “big leaguer’s” preferences! We can’t guarantee that he’ll be hangin’ out with the Houston Astros, but we promise that every inning you book for your “player” will be fun, safe and exciting! ($7.50)

#2 Frequent Flyer - If your pet is more “space-cadet” than baseball fan, sign him up for a 15 minute session of Frisbee toss. Yep, those Frisbee’s will keep all four paws in the air, and there won’t be any “Houston, we have a problem” on this flight! It’s NASA (Not As Silly As it looks) approved! ($7.50)

#3  The Big Splash - Maybe your pet thinks he is WAY TOO COOL to chase a thrown object—we get a lot of campers like that! And, we have just the thing to take the edge off for our very cool customers—their very own Pet Lodge Swimming Oasis…well, okay it’s a kiddy pool, but our campers love it and yours will too! A refreshing splash and some special attention from a Pet Lodge Camp Coordinator —what more could any totally cool pup want? ($10.00)

#4 Fido Fiesta -Let the party begin! Some dogs just love a good romp with friends—the canine kind, that is. And, if your dog is the “social type” we can arrange a group playtime for him that will make him feel right at home. All Fiesta campers must pass a behavior screening, but then they are off and running, and running, and running….you know, the party never ends around here! ($10.00)

#5 Bluebonnet Spa Specials - Yes, we believe in pampering our campers here at the Lodge and your pet can choose from either of these Lone Star cozy comforts while you are away.
                                                           
Campfire Cuddles - We never like our campers to be homesick, even for a moment, and sometimes they just need a little extra bit of one-on-one petting and cuddling to feel happy and safe. Let us “show your pup the love” and he’ll go home with his tail wagging! ($7.50)

Stylin’ With the Stars - It’s better than just getting your ears scratched! That’s what our dogs tell us, anyway. Just think how much your dog will appreciate a nice soothing brushing and some one-on-one attention from an experienced Pet Lodge Camp Coordinator. Not as expensive as full grooming, but just as comforting to your pet—just 15 minutes means a lot whether it’s your first time away from home or you’re an experienced camper! ($7.50)

The best part of Camp just may be the special treats available for our Lone Star Lodgers. Give your pup something special to look forward to while you are away—choose a little comfort food, such as…

#1 The Cold Nose - That’s what you get when you really get into licking up all the good stuff packed into a frozen Frosty Paws cup. It looks like vanilla ice cream, but it’s a lot healthier for our canine buddies.  Our campers jump for joy (on all four legs) when they see a “Cold Nose” treat headed their way. ($2.50)

#2 Pet Lodge Parfait - Dogs who have tasted this gourmet treat tell us that there is nothing better to end your day with than this fabulous concoction we call the Pet Lodge Parfait. According to our chef, the recipe is a closely guarded secret, but basically you get a chew toy that is stuffed with peanut butter and then frozen, making for a really satisfying munch! ($2.50)

#3 Simple Pleasures - Maybe your dog prefers a more simple approach---just a tasty doggie treat with a good ear scratching!  We can do that, too, and you might be surprised what that little extra TLC does for your four-legged friend. Simple Pleasures can make a camper glad all over! ($1.50)

Note: As part of your dog's stay, we will take them to a private outdoor enclosure in our spacious Supervised Outdoor Exercise Area 3 times per day so they can exercise and have an outdoor potty break. During major holidays we reserve the right to limit outdoor trips to 2 times per camper per day and Pet Lodge Perks© to 1 per camper per day so that our Pet Lodge Camp Coordinators can have more time to spend with their families. Dogs in the same family that are being boarded together will share the same outdoor enclosure. If you would like to purchase additional play times or treats for your dog's stay at the lodge that are not on our menu of Pet Lodge Perks© we will be happy to customize a menu at your request. However, to expedite the check-in process you will need to arrange and obtain pricing for custom Pet Lodge Perks© prior to dropping your dog off for boarding.
