When your pet comes to The Lodge, it’s just like going off to Summer Camp—new faces, new places and fun things to do! We think our friendly staff and state-of-the-art facilities make every dog or cat’s stay here a lot of fun, but if you want your “best pal” to have a special treat or a little extra play-time attention, Lone Star Pet Lodge has plenty of ways to liven up your “camper’s” Lodge visit.

For Our Feline Campers:

We know that cats are special. They have a mind of their own, with special preferences, specific likes and dislikes, and a discriminating approach to both food and play time. That’s why Lone Star Pet Lodges offers Pet Lodge Perks© for our kitty campers. Select one or several of these play time activities for your furry friend and ensure that your camper’s stay at the Lodge isn’t just purrrrrrrrfect!

#1 Lonesome Dove - There is nothing more irresistible to an active cat than trying their paw at catching a colorful little bundle of feathers hopping from place to place with the help of a Pet Lodge Camp Coordinator and an elastic line. After an energetic game of “watch the birdie”, your cat will feel relaxed and satisfied that he hasn’t lost his edge…or his pounce. ($5.00)

#2 Walk on the Wild Side - Kitty campers scheduled for a Walk on the Wild Side are encouraged to explore the special climbing toys arranged safely in our cat lodge area. Up and down, in and out, high and low one of our Pet Lodge Camp Coordinators will catch the cat-fancy of even the most particular of high-maintenance kitties. The outcome—a happy camper, of course! ($5.00)

#3 Bluebonnet Spa Specials - We wouldn’t dream of overlooking our feline friends when it comes to being properly pampered, so sign your cat up for one of our Bluebonnet Spa Specials and some peaceful cuddling or one-on-one brushing at the Lone Star Pet Lodges Bluebonnet Spa.

Campfire Cuddles - We never like our feline campers to be homesick, even for a moment, and sometimes they just need a little extra bit of one-on-one petting and cuddling to feel happy and safe. Let us “show your kitty the love” and we’ll make sure your feline friend goes home just a purrin’! ($7.50)

Stylin’ With the Stars - Just think how much your cat will appreciate a nice soothing brushing and some one-on-one attention from an experienced Pet Lodge Camp Coordinator. Not as expensive as full grooming, but just as comforting to your kitty—just 15 minutes means a lot whether it’s your first time away from home or you’re an experienced camper! ($7.50)

The best part of Camp just may be the special treats available for our Lone Star Lodgers. Give your kitty something special to look forward to while you are away—choose a little comfort food, such as…

#1 Catch of the Day - Just the barest scent of fish is enough to make most cats arch their tails in pleasure, so just imagine what our little fish flavored treats can do to make your kitty happy! An added benefit is that these little treats are designed as a healthy addition to your cat’s daily diet---but don’t tell your kitty—let him think he’s being spoiled! ($1.50)
           
#2 Afternoon Delight - What beats catnip? Nothing—that is, if you’re a cat! Makes even stately elder cats feel like kittens again, doesn’t it! A Pet Lodge Camp Coordinator will make sure your kitty enjoys her favorite treat in a relaxed and safe environment, with a tummy rub thrown in for good measure. ($2.50)

NOTE: As part of your cat's regular stay, we will take them out of their enclosure 3 times per day so they can exercise and enjoy time on the climbing toys or just watching the fish in one of the oversized aquariums in our spacious cattery. Cats in the same family boarded together will share time together out of their enclosure. During major holidays we reserve the right to limit time out their enclosure to 2 times per camper per day and Pet Lodge Perks© to 1 per camper per day so that our Pet Lodge Camp Coordinators can have more time to spend with their families. If you would like to purchase additional play times or treats for your cat's stay at the lodge that are not on our menu of Pet Lodge Perks© we will be happy to customize a menu at your request. However, to expedite the check-in process you will need to arrange and obtain pricing for custom Pet Lodge Perks© prior to dropping your cat off for boarding.
